Cubes Final

This project ended up being a playground for experimentation. After screening a few “safe” prints, we let loose and began to layer layers of ink on top of one another, play with ink transparency, combine interesting colors, and intentionally mess up ink pulls to achieve randomness and texture. It was a lot of fun and even therapeutic to work so intuitively. We are quite happy with the large variety of result that we got out of just two screens. -JM

Cubes Process

In our desire for a shape-driven project that would allow us to experiment, we ended up with this design. Lisa actually outlined all of the dots (props to her dedication to the hand-touch!).
